Designed for New Zealand conditions, BRITA's powerful MAXTRA water filters are engineered with MicroFlow Technology to provide a safe and economical way of filtering your drinking water from the tap.

BRITA brings about sustainability in every filter by using activated carbon from coconut shells to efficiently help filter chlorine, hard metals and other artificial substances found in tap water. The filters also contains ion exchange pearls which trap lead and copper to help prevent limescale buildup.

These official licensed BRITA water filter products are compatible with all BRITA jugs and casks except the Classic range.

For best results, replace your BRITA filter once a month or every 150 litres.

How it works

5 easy steps to fresh tasting, filtered water

Step 1

Fill some cool water into a jug or bowl. Soak the BRITA MAXTRA+ cartridge in the water and shake gently to remove any air bubbles.

Step 2

Insert the cartridge into the BRITA jug's funnel

Step 3

Run a litre of water through the filter two times. We recommend discarding the water by watering your plants

Step 4

Your BRITA MAXTRA+ cartridge is ready to use. Simply fill with water and pop it in the fridge or place on your counter top.

Step 5

Don't forget to reset your filter timer or smart light so you know when it's time to change your filter again!

Yes, all BRITA filter cartridges are safe, and are produced with high quality and safety standards. Each filter is made of food grade materials, and are harmless if accidentally consumed.

BRITA recommends replacing MAXTRA+ filters every 4 weeks, or every 150 litres of use for best results.
